Subject: Spoelhof Prayer Prompter - May, 2003

     Date: May 1, 2003

There is no testing, no trouble, no circumstance that can ever touch me until, first of all, it has gone past the Father, past Christ Jesus, and then right to me. If it has gone that far it has come with great purpose, don't panic but lift your eyes to Him and accept it as coming from  the Throne of God.

 Praise God with us:
1) We've made a safe move into a house. This allows us to do more entertaining and church activities than we could do in our apartment.
2) Easter sunrise service went well in spite of rain that morning. The service was held at Community Baptist Church (the other ABWE mission point here in town) with about sixty-five people participating.
3) The owner of the building we rent did not increase our rent as we begin our third year here.
4) Short-termer Ben Loftis now has all his airfare money, about half his needed support, and is hoping to be here in June.

Pray with us:
1) May will be a month filled with activities:

May 2 - youth outing
May 3 - "couples' night out" event
May 9-10 - two day seminar on "A Clean Conscience" with Community Baptist
May 11 - special Mother's Day service
May 13-20 - our son Joel and his fiancée, Lynne, visit to Brazil
May 18 - Second Anniversary celebration for Alfa Center ministries.
May 24-26 - Internship team weekend with Word of Life students
2) Funds to continue paying rent on our building. For the first time in six months, since being on our own, the funds were not there to pay rent. Thankfully, with some shifting monies around, we came up with the payment.
3) Another couple to team-up with us in the ministry here. One couple, who was considering, communicated that it was not God's will for them at this time and we are back to "square one" in the search.

In Christ's exciting service,

Bill and Sue
