We’ve been enjoying some days of cooler weather.  And yum--  strawberries are back in the market (our season goes from April through November).

Days continue to be busy with ministries.  Last night was small group Bible study.  I had discipleship this morning.  Sue and Ben are out to Gilgal drug rehab center right now.  There are ESL classes, other discipleships and studies, counseling, and prayer meeting on the other days.  So life goes on, and although things we do here are interesting and enjoyable, at times there just doesn’t seem like much that’s interesting enough to write about.

Let’s see . . . Ben’s got a dog to keep him company now.  Sue wants a cat.  Brazilian income tax needs to be done by Friday.  At least Saturday is a holiday, Labor Day, but nothing special’s planned for that!  And, of course, that means people will be traveling and numbers will be down at church.  Ben’s dad and brother Nathan may be coming down next week as part of a graduation gift for Nathan. Sue’s distributing invitations for a Mother’s Day tea party at church, and from the response so far, it looks like a big group will be out for that.  Church anniversary is the sixteenth, and I have to confirm with the people involved with that to be sure things are ready.  I’ve been invited to speak for the anniversary of the church we helped start in São Paulo on the 30th, but haven’t given an answer for that since it’s hard to get away from here and it’s a long drive into SP.

In a nutshell, that’s life here at the moment!  At least there’s strawberry shortcake to look forward to!!  Tchau!
