Subject: Spoelhof Prayer Prompter - December 2006

Prayer should be our first response rather than our last resort.

 

Praise God with us:

1. Come and See – Go and Tell!  Missions month opened people's eyes to opportunities for reaching out into our own community.

2. Friends Day was one missionary outreach with lots of visitors invited by people from the church, and several unsaved guests. The Thanksgiving (a holiday not observed here) dinner was a novelty but also a success. The day ended with a baptism service.

 

Pray with us:

1. That God will use Christmas programs communicating and celebrating the coming of our Savior Jesus Christ. Final practices are going on for special services. Two musical presentations are being prepared - a cantata presented by the church praise team to be presented on the 10th and a second program given by the women’s and children’s choirs the 17th of December.  We will also be presenting the programs at a local retirement center and at our sister church, Community Baptist.

2. The church building fund project for purchasing our own building.  Please consider this as an end of the year project.
