For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)

August Family Month had great participation from almost everyone in the church. Each Saturday was a small group seminar on marriage/family/child rearing which was well attended. Each Sunday the message centered on “family” with different activities. September was a preaching series on Signs of Life with practical hands-on community outreach programs for our small groups and the church as a whole. Even now people continue practicing what they learned through the signs of life.

October had a training time in Good Soil Evangelism and Discipleship. This two day seminar using Good Soil materials saw immediate results as one of the participants led his nephew to the Lord as he was studying the material.

November was our annual mission planning retreat. We had it on a beautiful island, and were happy to have Bruce and Bev McDonald as speakers.  It was a great family time, and exciting goals are set for the year ahead. Some are already in action! Also during that month, we were given a Getaway to Iguaçu Falls at the invitation of the CHN (Christian Hospitality Network). It was a relaxing three day break and just for missionaries, all at CHN’s expense.

December rounded out the year with a great celebration of the coming of our Savior including a beautiful cantata, Christmas program and a family talent night. The church was filled each Sunday!

And there is so much more going on – one small group has grown to 17 people; our teens are evangelizing, and one of them is going on a short-term missions trip to Hawaii of all places; there were Missionary Sundays and taking on of new missionary support; weddings and baby showers and baby dedications; and best of all people are being saved!

We thank you for your part in this ministry which God has given us in Brazil. Through your prayers on our behalf and giving, we continue to faithfully serve.

Our theme at church for this new year is “For We Walk by Faith”. God continues to be so faithful. May we be found faithful as well.

It is our goal throughout 2010 to know God better, to talk with Him more often, to listen to Him speak through His Word more frequently, to love and care for His children more consistently and to love the lost more passionately.  May God bless you and make you a blessing wherever you are!

In Christ’s exciting service,

Bill and Sue
